MONOHULLS V. CATAMARANS
The most obvious difference of course, between catamarans and monohulls is that a monohull vessel has only one hull, or main body, whereas a catamaran has two hulls.
WHY NOT A CATAMARAN?

- Comfort – while catamarans are certainly faster, you may pay the price with a slapping and less comfortable ride.
- Price – not only are catamarans more expensive to hire, dockage is more expensive because of the additional beam
- Sailing Interaction – spectator or sailor, everyone is together in the cockpit
